Seal and Heidi Klum have announced that their storybook marriage is ending in divorce.

In a statement Sunday night, the power couple announced their divorce after rumors were running rampant over the weekend that a divorce was on the horizon.

The joint statement read that while they have enjoyed 7 very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching they have decided to separate. They have had the deepest respect for one another throughout their relationship and continue to love each other very much, but they have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of their children remains their top priority, especially during this time of transition. They thank their family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for their children’s sake, they appreciate everyone respecting their privacy.

The couple wed in 2005 and has 4 children together, which includes the supermodel’s daughter from a previous relationship.
